Fordorsia Hardsuit Mk.3 ''Impetus''
Developed in 1963, the Mk.3 was built like a tank and is still in service with all Fordorsian military branches today, with uses in combat, escort and general utility.
Weighing 1500lbs altogether, the Mk.3 is nearly 3-times heavier than the Mk.1, meaning it is less maneuverable. Better joint designs mean that despite it's slower speed, it is more flexible and allows for wider arcs of movement.
The Mk.3 3 features a ballistic visor, which can be covered remotely by an armoured shield, covering most of the visor but still allowing limited vision. The hatch is used for embarking/disembarking the Hardsuit, but can also be opened partly to allow for better vision. Replacing the large combat knife of previous models, the Mk.3 has a large gauntlet blade that can be remotely unsheathed and used for close combat. The Hardsuit also has two cameras facing either side of the suit to give the operator better visibility and a camera mounted in-front to help with long-range combat. Due to it's slow speed, early experience showed that the Mk.3 can easily be swarmed by enemies with no way to defend itself. To combat this, the Hardsuit was equipped with two anti-swarm devices mounted on it's torso. The devices are filled with explosives and ball bearings and detonated whenever the enemy is too close. The thick armour keeps thee operator safe from the explosion whilst the ball bearings fly in a forward arc.
